General Safety

If you become injured, notify staff immediately.  They will assist you and see that appropriate medical aid is summoned.

Absolutely no physical contact.  Do not say or do anything to provoke an argument or start a fight. Any disputes should be taken the referee first.  As a result a player that initiates physical contact will be ejected from the premises!

No firing your gun in anger or with intent to injure another person.  Offenders will be banned from the premises.

Mask Safety
GoToTop

Approved eye protection must be worn by all players and kept in place at all times while the players are on the playing field, whether a game is in progress or not.  Fogged masks will not be removed.

If masks get knocked off during a game, cover eyes with both hands and call "LOST masks" until a referee or player arrives to help get the masks back on safely.  Players missing their masks will not be fired on until the masks are back in place.

If a player willfully removes his/her masks for any reason, the player will be removed from the current game and will be counseled on proper wear of all safety gear.  If there is a second infraction, the player will not be allowed to play for the rest of the day.

If masks get dirty or painted there will be cleaning material available either at base camp or a safe distance away from the field.  There are no requirements for the referees to clean or defog any masks.

Safe Operation of Paintball Guns
GoToTop

BARREL COVERSS ARE MANDATORY IN ALL "masks OFF" AREAS.

Mandatory "barrel cover " enforcement in all areas excluding the playing fields when in play.  A barrel cover is exactly that, a plug designed to fit in the end or over the end of a barrel, not a stick squeegee, a pull squeegee, a sock or towel!  DO NOT REMOVE BARREL COVER OR FIRE MARKER IN ANY "GOGGLE OFF" AREAS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.  This includes but is not limited to entering and exiting playing areas, entering and exiting chronograph areas, entering and exiting target areas, parking areas, staging areas, sales and service areas and viewing areas.

All paintball guns will be chronograph before being allowed onto the field for the first game. The speed limit for all guns is 280 fps.

Guns may only be fired on the firing range or on the playing field.  Goggles will be worn whenever a gun is being fired.

Shooting of wildlife (birds, cats, dogs) will not be tolerated. Any player caught shooting an animal will be immediately removed from the field.

Referees are not to be deliberately shot at.

Excessive multiple hits by one shooter upon one player will not be tolerated. - three break rule.

Avoid shooting at ranges closer then 15 feet - See 15 foot surrender rule.

Never look down the barrel of the paintball gun and never put your mouth over the end of the barrel.

Players will not participate in blind firing at any time.  Players may only shoot at targets that they can see.

Paintball markers will only be fired in single shot mode.  Fully automatic and turbo modes are prohibited.

Tanks must be Hydo Static Tested
GoToTop

All tanks must be tested in accordance to manufacturer safety standards. It is both unlawful and unsafe to fill an out of date bottle.  These bottles undergo this test to make sure that they still have enough structural integrity to withstand the rated tank pressure.  Dates for hydro static testing are stamped on tanks and may vary dependent upon brand of tank. Any tank visibly damaged or not clearly marked as to its fill capacity WILL NOT be filled. CAUTION: Keep tanks out of sun due to danger of explosion.

Other Safety Considerations
GoToTop

No tobacco products are allowed on the playing fields.

No physical contact is allowed between players.

Obstacles and other hazards are a danger.  Players should be cautious while moving about the fields.

Snakes should be avoided and not disturbed.

Caution should be exercised when climbing trails and crossing obstacles.  Surface can be slippery and unstable.

If any hazard is found, STOP PLAY AND NOTIFY THE REFEREE IMMEDIATELY. THEN WAIT FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTION.
